Research Interests:

Asim’s interests are in cancer research. He is particularly interested in hypoxic adaptations tumor cells make, as well the role inflammatory states play in tumors.

Personal Bio:

Asim was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and immigrated to America with his family in 1993. Since 1996, his family lived in the Bay Area of California. Although Richmond, Va., is very different from where he grew up, he loves the things the city has to offer. There is a lot of history in this city, as well as many nice parks and museums.
