Personal Bio:

Alex was born in New York City, but moved to Bluefield, West Virginia when he was four years old and has lived there since.  He graduated with a B.A. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Vanderbilt University in May of 2013.  While an undergraduate, Alex participated in research in drug design, specifically using matrix metalloproteinases as potential targets for cancer therapies.  Alex loves the outdoors, and has a particular passion for landscape photography, a hobby he has had for many years.  Alex also began playing tennis when he was very young, and tries to play as often as he can.
