Research Interests:

At the University of North Carolina, Caellaigh's research focused on understanding the roles of the protein periostin and Schwann cells in a murine model of autoimmune peripheral neuropathy. At the National University of Singapore, Caellaigh's research involved developing in vitro EBV infection assay and testing murine, hybridoma-derived anti-EBV gp350 antibodies. Currently, Caellaigh is interested in continuing her research in immunology with a focus on the mechanisms that lead to allergy and autoimmune diseases. 

Personal Bio:

Caellaigh was born in Savannah, GA, but grew up in the tri-state area of Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia in the small town of Russell, KY. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking, baking, or exploring new restaurants.
